Native Hope Joins #GivingTuesday

Written by Native Hope | Nov 18, 2022

Native Hope realizes the power of unity and collaboration in making an impact in the lives of Native American children and families.

That is why we are joining forces with the #GivingTuesday movement.

About Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday has become an inspirational event, connecting diverse groups of individuals, communities, and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving and to bring about real change in our communities.

This unique day of uniting, is the perfect opportunity for us to come together for the voices unheard.

Unite. Honor. Amplify. Heal.

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to learn about and honor the fascinating, haunting, and inspiring history of Native Americans.

Native Americans have suffered a loss of cultural identity that started hundreds of years ago and persists today. Through genocide or forced assimilation, Native American voices have been silenced. It is time to heal these historical wounds and restore trust. It's time to lift up Native voices.

In the words of Evan Hawk of the Hunkpati Dakota Oyate:

"My Native Hope is to inspire a new generation of leaders to stand up and take our place at the table and to give our generation a voice."

And of Chad "Littlecoyote" Yellowjohn, Shoshone Bannock and Spokane:

"My Native Hope is working towards a future where Natives do not have to feel hopeless."

At Native Hope, we're committed to being a resource that helps Native communities meet their needs and a platform to amplify the voices of those unheard.

We've set a goal to raise $25,000 from now until Giving Tuesday on November 29. We can't do this important work without YOU! Please give today so we can help as many as possible.

Giving Tuesday Goal: $25,000
Deadline to Give: Tuesday, November 29
